How I work

I offer both short-term (6-12 weeks) and open-ended therapy, tailored to your unique circumstances and goals. We'll determine the best approach for you during our initial session. Typically, sessions are held once a week at the same time for 50 minutes.

My role is to create a safe and supportive space where you can freely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I'll listen attentively, ask questions that encourage deeper understanding, and offer insights to help you gain new perspectives on your challenges. Together, we'll uncover your inner strengths, nurture your creativity, and build resilience as you navigate life's complexities. I'll guide you with warmth and encouragement, always respecting your pace and honouring your unique journey towards healing and growth.

Here's a step-by-step guide to our journey together:

  1. Creating a safe space: I'll prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts, feelings, and experiences.

  2. Understanding your challenges: By listening to your story, I'll begin to understand the unique challenges you're facing.

  3. Addressing immediate concerns: We'll start by addressing any immediate concerns, such as managing difficult emotions or coping with challenging situations.

  4. Identifying your goals: Together, we'll explore your goals for therapy and life in general.

  5. Developing a plan: With your goals in mind, we'll create a personalized plan to help you achieve them.

  6. Embarking on your journey: The specific direction of your therapy will be guided by your unique needs, the insights we uncover together, and the goals we set. I'll regularly check in with you to ensure you feel comfortable and that therapy is progressing in a way that's helpful for you.

  7. Making progress: As we work together, you'll begin to see positive changes and move closer to your desired outcomes.

  8. Honouring the work: When you feel ready, we'll collaboratively plan a meaningful ending to our therapeutic relationship, celebrating the progress you've made.
